The property is located just a few miles downstream from the confluence of the North and South Forks of the Snake river. A power boat can go up the South Fork to Palisades Dam, up the North Fork nearly to St. Anthony and downstream nearly to Idaho Falls most times of the year. Also, the river is well suited for water skiing at this location. Some areas have large sandy beaches on the shore with both black sand and white sand. SURROUNDING AREA One of the prominent unique features of the area is the Roberts Slough which is a large body of water near the North border of the ranch. It has been used at times for water skiing in the summer and ice derbies in the winter. Waterfowl are attracted to this lake in large numbers, including the rare Trumpeter Swan.
